A beautifully crafted antique trilogy crossover ring, set with a vibrant natural ruby and two antique old mine cut diamonds – gemstones that are increasingly rare and highly sought after today.
This striking piece is a wonderful example of late Victorian craftsmanship, dating to the final years of the 19th century to the very early 20th century (circa 1890–1905). The elegant flowing crossover design is inspired by the classic “toi et moi” style and showcases the rich sculptural goldwork characteristic of the period.

Setting & Design
The central 0.35ct natural ruby displays a rich purplish-red hue and is securely held in an ornate coronet claw setting. It is flanked by two antique old mine cut diamonds, totalling approximately 0.60ct.
All three gemstones are original to the ring, with the diamonds displaying the distinctive hand-cut character of true old mine cuts, and the ruby showing the slightly irregular, deeper faceting typical of late 19th century cutting.
The flowing crossover shank and heavy crown-style collet settings are highly characteristic of late Victorian jewellery design, making this a beautiful period piece.
Hallmarks
The original hallmarks have worn with age. The ring has been recently re-hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office and now carries fresh hallmarks including BAO, 585 and the Anchor.
