The ring is very old but in a fantastic condition. The original hallmarks had worn away so we had the ring sent to the Birmingham assay office to be hallmarked again and although it is hallmarked 14ct, the gold tested just under 18ct which is why the certificate states 18ct and the hallmarks state 14ct.
The ring was European made and to a different country the ring would be classed as 18ct.
